Biography


A dancer and pedagogue from Puglia, he is among the most active performers of the latest generation of pizzica salentina. He is a co-founder of the Pizzica School of San Vito. Between 2012 and 2022, he danced with Maestro Ambrogio Sparagna’s Orchestra Popolare Italiana, and in 2014, he was a dancer in La Notte della Taranta, choreographed by Miguel Ángel Berna. In 2024, he presented choreographic works created in Palestine with Emily Jacir at the Venice Biennale; in the same year, he authored and performed the choreography for Max Gazzè and the Orchestra Popolare del Saltarello’s Musicae Loci tour, and premiered the performance CONTRORA at the Fiera Mediterranea with Vincenzo Gagliani. He teaches regularly in Rome, Barcelona, ​​Paris, and Milan.
