Review:
Last year Sangennarobar presented himself – to start well – with a double cd, offering us a complete and timeless listening to the “typical” sound of Sangennarobar.
This year the compilation is a hymn to dance. Everyone dances and is introduced by an invitation to be in a circle (“Faciti rota”) of the most learned of the tarantolati, Antonio Infantino.
A multitude of musical realities that mix during the journey take part in the movement, in this continuous tour around the planet and its cultures.
A large group of DJs, from Nickodemus to Dunkelbunt and Dj Dolores; international artists such as Goran Bregovi , Vieux Farka Touré, Up, Bustle & Out; interpreters of the new world reality like Shukar Collective, Orange Blossom, La Troba Kung-Fù; big and noisy bands like the International Brigade with Daniele Sepe, the Banda De Pìfanos De Caruaru, Ska Cubano, Balkan Municipal, Muchachito Bombo Infierno. Overwhelmed by the festive whirlwind even a splendid Sofia Loren at her first recording success, signed by Trovajoli. And a very Neapolitan Carosone.
The whole compilation is aimed at finding a universal and overwhelming beat, made of Folk and electronic sounds that move across the most diverse music and dance traditions of the world.
